Terms & Conditions
 
 1. Drivers.
On collection of the Motorcycle the hirer/riders will need to present their drivers licence, both parts if new style photo card, and also 2 additional forms of identification, one a photo ID e.g., passport and one a recent ID showing name and current address e.g. bank statement/utility bill.
Riders must be aged between 25 and 70, and held a full motorcycle licence for a minimum of 2 years and be in good health. Any points/convictions on a licence will be considered on an individual basis. Normally 3-6 points for speeding or traffic violation will not incur any extra charges.
If you are visiting from abroad, your licences need to be in English or an International driving permit needs to be presented with your national licence.
Riders are personally liable for all legal penalties (e.g. parking tickets) which are incurred during the period of hire.
 
2. Booking.
Bookings can be made on line, by phone, post or in person. A deposit of 30% of the hire rate will confirm your booking, this needs to be paid at the time of booking. All major credit/debit cards accepted. Confirmation of your booking will be issued by post.
The balance of the rental costs will need to be settled six weeks before the start of your hire. An invoice reminder will be issued for this balance.
On the day of the hire a security deposit of £1000 will need to be paid. An invoice reminder will be issued for this security deposit if you wish to pay by cheque, please let us know.
Adventure Motorbike Hire is a part of and solely owned by Easy Hire Motorhomes Ltd and we reserves the right to cancel the booking if payment is not received six weeks prior to departure. Payment is by credit, debit card or a pounds sterling cheque. For late bookings (less than six weeks before departure) the full rental price is payable on booking. Motorcycles will not be released without full payment being completed. Cheques will not be acceptable for late bookings (less than 2 weeks prior to departure).
 
3. Credit/Debit Cards.
Visa card, MasterCard, Amex, Solo, Switch and Maestro are accepted. Credit Card payments will incur 2½% interest, Amex 5%, There is no charge for Debit Cards.
 
4. Extras.
Airport to depot transfer: Manchester Airport - POA. Manchester Train Station - POA. Other pick ups - please enquire.
 
5. Cancellations.
If the cancellation is more than 6 weeks prior to the collection day, you will forfeit your deposit.
If you cancel less than 6 weeks before the collection day, you will forfeit the deposit and any hire fees paid.
We recommend you take out adequate insurance to cover unforeseen cancellation.
If, on arrival to collect the Motorcycle, your licence is unacceptable due to endorsements, defacement or incorrect vehicle categories, no monies will be refunded.
 
6. Motorcycle Collection and Return.
Our office hours are 9am - 5pm for collection.
Upon collection we would like you to spend at least 15 minutes to familarise yourself with the controls and any accessories. You will be shown all the operations of the Motorcycle.
We will check your documentation and finalise the paperwork. We will agree any damage, if any, already present and also the inventory of equipment supplied.
Returns need to be between office hours are 9am - 5pm at the agreed time and date on your rental agreement.
We do insist on you being punctual, as we want to make sure the motorcyclr is fully prepared & serviced for the next rider..
Late returns will incur fees at the rate of £50 per hour or part hour. If you will be late returning, the rental company must be advised immediately. Failure to advise may result in prosecution for driving whilst uninsured.
The fuel tank needs to be full of fuel, otherwise £20 + FUEL will be incurred.
The Motorcycle and any accessories will be checked for damage upon return.
 
7. Breakdowns.
All our Motorcycles carry full breakdown and recovery cover, in the case of breakdown or accident a 24 hour phone number is provided with the motorcycle.
Please contact us if any problems arise.
In the case of breakdowns, which are the fault of the hirer (e.g. filling with the wrong type of fuel, running out of fuel, loss of keys etc), any costs incurred will be the responsibility of the hirer.
 
8. Responsibilities and Liabilities.
The hirer is responsible for any traffic offences committed against the road traffic act, parking fines or congestion charges whilst the vehicle is in their charge
The hirer is responsible for daily checks to the Motorcycle of fluid levels, bulbs and tyre pressures, batteries.
The hirer is responsible for damage to tyres, loss of keys, and damage to the Motorcycle.
The hirer is responsible for securing the Motorcycle when the Motorcycle is left unattended.
The ignition key must be removed when the Motorcyle is not being riden.
Adventure Motorbike Hire cannot accept any liability for replacement motorcyle costs, travel or accommodation costs or consequential losses from a breakdown or accident.
Adventure Motorbike Hire will make every effort to make sure your reserved Motorcycle is ready on time, but in circumstances beyond our control where the vehicle is not available and a suitable alternative is unavailable our liability will be limited to refunding the payments made.
When the Motorcycle is in motion, both rider & pillion must wear a crash helmet & siutable safety clothing.
 
9. Insurance.
Our Motorcyles have comprehensive insurance on the UK mainland for the named riders on the hire agreement for the period of the hire, please note that this does note cover your personal property and you are advised to arrange holiday insurance separately.
You may take the Motorcycle to Ireland or Western Europe, but we need to know in advance and you will need to have our European Insurance & Breakdown Pack. (European cover is subject to approval by our insurers and is limited to 250 miles per day, excess 10p + VAT per mile)
If you are late in returning the Motorcycle, a penalty of £50.00 per hour or part hour will be charged, this is partly to cover extending the insurance to avoid you driving uninsured and as compensation for the inconvenience caused to delay of the Motorcycle being unavailable for the start of the next hirers booking.
Insurance Loading. Adventure Motorcycle Hire may incur additional charges if the rider to be insured has a traffic conviction, is using a non-UK driving licence or is in an occupation which is deemed high-risk. These charges will be passed on to her hirer.
Standard Excess. There is a standard excess of £1000. In the event that through rider negligence, and we have to make an insurance claim for any damage to either the vehicle or third party property, the hirer will be liable for the first £1000. The hirer will also be fully liable for tyre damage.
 
10. Security Deposit.
A £1000 refundable deposit is payable by credit or debit card on the day of the hire. (Two weeks if paying by cheque) This is fully refundable within three working days on the condition that the Motorcycle is returned at the agreed date and time, in the same condition as it was hired out to you with a full tank of fuel.
The hirer should be aware that the security deposit will be used to fund any loss or damage what so ever to the Motorcycle, tyres and any accesories, or negligent damage to the Motorcycle.
